The Dutch and Their Windows

It is as though the Dutch were bred to be people watchers.

Despite their prolific modesty and materialisation of the word "pragmatic", they seem to love to watch and to be watched. I adore the almost floor-to-ceiling Dutch windows where you can watch a story being played out. Some owners know you of your intentions to observe before you do and they will create displays in their windows for you to enjoy.

I love walking by the dogs and the cats of the owners who also love to watch the world go by outside from their windows.

I myself have simply personified this window that allows one to see in and look out. I have become it. I simultaneously present what I want you to see and how I want you to see it while I look out of my little display back at you.
